Prime Education

For over a quarter century, the American people have voiced their concerns over the relative low quality of the nation’s public schools. Periodically political leaders take note and actually try to do something about it—A Nation at Risk, Goals 2000, and, more recently, NCLB and the Spelling Commission (on higher education).

Now President Obama has designated education as one of his top three domestic priorities (along with health care and energy), and has more than doubled the budget of the U.S. Department of Education. In the coming months and years our nation and our political leaders will wrestle with reauthorization of No Child Left Behind/ESEA, national standards, improved testing, charter schools, vouchers, longer school days, higher quality teaching, pay for performance, funding and greater accountability for higher education, and many other difficult and controversial issues.

How institutions and organizations address these issues and communicate their positions on them will determine the success or failure of those organizations…and their leaders.

That’s where we come in.

We created Prime Education precisely because of this confluence of events—public impatience with business as usual, huge new federal investments in education, and a crying need for strategic approaches on the part of schools, companies, associations, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations that are operating in the education arena.

The founders and principals of Prime Education, Greg Schneiders and Les Francis, have “been there, done that” on Capitol Hill, in the White House, in the corporate world, with countless candidates and office holders, and on behalf of education organizations. We can consult and advise and we can execute.

Specifically, Prime Education offers services in the following areas:
Research - Branding - Marketing - Advocacy - Crisis and Issue management

Each client’s project is managed—on an hour-by-hour, day-to-day basis—by one or both of the principals. Other team members are brought in to help in specific areas of expertise, to be sure, but when you retain Prime Education, you are hiring Les Francis and Greg Schneiders.
